I ditched the Palamute armour you see in all the screenshots to make it look more like a Pokémon, but I kept a reference to the fact that they can wear armour by making him a Normal/Steel type. I also tried to make his “manes” look like sharp steel plates. Petamaul is an anagram of Palamute and it also has the word maul in there. And maybe also a dig at PETA because they probably hate the fact you can have Palamutes/Palico’s in Monster Hunter. Actually, they might hate the whole franchise since you have to… hunt monsters.
